Learners will be able to:

- pronounce words accurately;

- identify people, places and objects accurately with support of pictures;

- understand short topic vocabulary phrases in oral speech;

- predict content in short talk;

- read the words, phrases and sentences intelligibly;

- respond to questions correctly;

- use connectors ‘and/ but’ correctly;

Языковые цели:

Learners can: identify, read and use topic vocabulary ‘Modern inventions’, listen and understand about they can use in their life and activities they can do on the Internet;

Subject-specific vocabulary & terminology: Match, Write, Use a pen, Click on this link, True, False, Choose a picture, do a test.

• Teacher greets Learners; Learners respond to greetings

(G) Presentation of the theme

• Teacher asks learners to look at the pictures and name them by a word. Learners can see the pictures on the screen. They should guess the topic of the lesson.

Pictures: a computer, a radio, a smart phone, a go pro camera, a telephone, The Internet, a photo camera and a credit card.

(W) Warm up

• Learners find modern and outdated inventions.

Presentation of lesson objectives, assessment criteria

• Teacher announces the leaning objectives.

• Teacher announces assessment criteria.

1 point for each correct phrase.

Green sun: 85% - 100% excellent work;

Blue sun: 65% - 84% good work;

Red sun: 40% - 64% not bad;

Sad emoji: 0% - 39% try again;

• Learners use dictionary, translate new vocabulary and match them with pictures

• Learners listen to the new vocabulary. Remember their pronunciation.

• Learners match words and write phrases.
